Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Mechanic Toolbox (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Android application published under package ID com.pradappandiyan.mechanictoolbox.

2. Information stored on your device

Depending on how you use the App, it may store locally:

• Vehicle profiles you enter (name, make, model, year, engine, tyre/wheel/gearing details, and related notes)
• Calculation inputs and results you choose to save
• Favorites for calculators you pin
• App preferences such as theme, language, and unit system

This information is stored in on-device storage (local database / preferences). It is not uploaded to our servers because the App does not provide cloud sync or remote accounts.

3. Information we do not collect

• No account registration or login
• No payment card details collected by us (any Play purchases are handled by Google Play)
• No advertising ID collection for ad targeting
• No sale of personal information

4. Optional features that leave the App

• Send feedback: If you use in-app feedback, your device’s email app may open with a prefilled message to support@pradappandiyan.com. Email content you send is processed as ordinary email correspondence.
• Rate the app: May open Google Play’s review flow. That interaction is governed by Google’s policies.
• Share / copy results: Uses your device’s share sheet or clipboard at your request.

5. Permissions

The App is designed to work offline for calculations. It does not request sensitive permissions such as location, contacts, microphone, or camera for core features. If a future update adds a permission, the Play Store listing and this policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Children’s privacy

The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data retention and deletion

Because data stays on your device, you control retention. Uninstalling the App (or clearing the App’s storage in Android settings) removes locally stored App data from that device, subject to your device’s normal backup behaviour.

8. Third-party services

Distribution and optional review flows may involve:

9. International users

The App processes data locally on your device. If you contact us by email, that correspondence may be handled in the country where we operate our support inbox.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
